PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS held at interesting outdoor locations around
BOSTON and at other NEW ENGLAND LOCATIONS!
The PHOTO WALK
WORKSHOPS are more about photography than sightseeing- they are for building your photography
skills!
These workshops are for adult
photographers of all skill levels from beginner to advanced digital camera users.
We pick locations in Boston and
around New England that offer a wide range of subjects and unique shooting conditions. Each workshop session
begins with a structured discussion about photography techniques and the photographic subjects that we encounter
during our walk.
Each PHOTO WALK WORKSHOP will be a guided by a
professional photographer that coaches you as make your photographs.
The PHOTO WALK WORKSHOPS are about building your control
of the digital camera and teaching you to become a more creative photographer. We emphasize the important
photography skills that can make your photography beautiful
The best way you can improve as a photographer is to go out and shoot – that is what these
workshop experiences are all about! We
bring the photography workshop to visually interesting settings around Boston and NE then coach you through the
photography process.
The
PHOTO WALK WORKSHOPS are hands on education experience, you learn by
doing.
ABOUT THE PHOTO WALK
WORKSHOPS
In the PHOTO WALK
WORKSHOPS we cover important photographic principles and situation specific shooting
techniques and, of course we will be on hand to answer questions and to coach your photography.
Some of the topics and techniques we will discuss are:
- Understanding light – learning how to “read” lighting on your
scene
- Learning how to “see” the world photographically
- Camera Exposure tools
- Photography composition and design
- Handling your camera and shooting techniques
Prior to the date of your PHOTO
WALK WORKSHOP we will send you by email
the WORKSHOP STUDY
GUIDE (a PDF document).
Each WORKSHOP STUDY GUIDE includes
information that is unique to the different workshop locations as well as the following:
- Photo skills to review before you leave home
- Suggestions for equipment to bring
- Overview of the workshop topics
- Photo Ideas for the workshop location
- Photo practice exercises to try during the workshop and later on your
own
- Digital Photographer’s Tip Sheet
Working in unique locations
offers a wide range of subjects to photograph. We will also be offering technique specific
sessions like NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY in BOSTON and a CLOSE UP and MACRO photography in
Portsmouth’s Prescott Park when it’s formal garden (with about 500 varieties of flowers) are in
bloom. The WORKSHOP STUDY GUIDE will include information relative to the techniques and photo
opportunities you will encounter at each workshop location.

We hold the PHOTO WALK WORKSHOPS on weekend days from April through October. Some
sessions (like Night Photography) will be offered on weekday nights. The schedule for 2012 sessions will be
posted in early March and will be updated frequently.
The fee for the PHOTO WALK
WORKSHOPS includes the WORKSHOP
STUDY GUIDE (PDF by email), photo instruction and
coaching during 2.5 hour on location session. Price is $99 per person
and reservations are required.
