TABLETOP PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY
DIGITAL PHOTO BOOT CAMP
This boot camp is for photographers who want to
learn the basics of studio still life photography and product photography. Tabletop product photography is one of the most practical and ubiquitous forms of
photographic illustration we encounter. Making images of static and
small objects requires lighting and design skills to present objects well and to provide information to the
viewer.
This workshop is designed to introduce beginner photographers to the
lighting and tools for tabletop product photography. This class would be
recommended for artists, crafters and other folks who want to market products on the
internet. Making your work look good is important in the marketing of your products and this
work shop will emphasize this skill set.
Table top studios can be set up with a modest investment in equipment and with
readily available items. Point and shoot cameras have great close up capability and can be as useful as a digital SLR
for this type of photography. We will review and use several lighting set –ups and ways you can create your
own close-up studio. You will be practicing making images and are welcome to bring small objects to practice
with.
